A platform, not just an event.

TEDxDallas is a newly launched TEDx platform for the Dallas region. An independently organized, community-driven forum for the ideas, voices, and innovations shaping our region's future.

Why TEDxDallas exists

Dallas has more to say than it gets credit for. The educators reimagining the future of work. The founders rewriting what's possible in their industries. The public servants, artists, scientists, first responders, and community builders doing the kind of work that deserves an audience well beyond their immediate circles.

TEDxDallas exists to put those people on a stage their ideas deserve, and to make that stage available to the rest of the world through the TEDx platform.

Looking ahead, TEDxDallas isn't a one-off event but a growing platform. Beyond the maiden event, we're planning TEDxDallas Salon for quarterly small-format gatherings on emerging ideas, TEDxDallas Youth as an annual youth event in partnership with key stakeholders, and a Talks Library that publishes every TEDxDallas talk to the TEDx YouTube channel.

How we got here

What started as a proposal for a single-city TEDx event quickly became something bigger. Early conversations with Dallas College Brookhaven Campus and the Metrocrest Area Chamber surfaced a clear pattern: educators, entrepreneurs, civic leaders, and creatives across the broader Dallas region were eager for a shared stage that no single municipality or campus could carry alone.

Dallas College's role as a convening institution across industries, sectors, and communities, combined with the Metrocrest Area Chamber's reach in driving business growth across cities, made the case for a regional platform unmistakable. TEDxDallas was born from that conviction: a stage built not by one institution alone, but by the partnerships that define how this region moves forward.
